Pirates Report goes the extra mile to make great and unusual discoveries, and we found them at the Pirate City complex in Bradenton, Fla., on Tuesday morning. We've even got pictures to prove them.

More than half of the of the 66 squad members have checked in already -- right fielder Garrett Jones, third basemen Pedro Alvarez and Neil Walker, outfielder Brandon Jones and John Raynor and pitchers D.J. Carrasco, Kevin Hart, Evan Meek and Daniel McCutchen to name a few. Pitchers Zach Duke and Paul Maholm and several teammates are expected to arrive this evening.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to begin workouts on Thursday at noon. The weather forecast calls for a mostly sunny skies, a high of 61 degrees and zero chance for snow.
